SKI Trip to Sun Peaks, BC

Get ready for another Ski Kouncil winter adventure.

Sun Peaks is a European style village nestled in the Kootenay Rockies. The mountain ski area is the second largest in Canada.

4,270 acres of terrain, the second largest in Canada

Longest Run - 5 miles

Trails & Glades -138 including 19 gladed areas

Terrain Type - 10% novice, 58% intermediate, 24% advanced, and 10% expert

10-acre terrain park with distinct zones for all abilities

There are 13 chairlifts (including 7 high speed quads)

Annual Snowfall - 237” of powder

Cross Country – 18 miles of groomed trails

Base elevation is 4,100 ft. and the highest summit is 6,800 ft.

Free mountain tours twice daily

We will stay at the Sun Peaks Lodge, a family operated hotel located in the heart of the quaint village.

It is convenient to everything and is just steps away from the chairlift for skiing (ski in-ski out). Village

shops & restaurants are located directly outside the front door. The hotel has several amenities. A

few of these are a restaurant, ski storage, a wellness area, and a ski rental shop on site.

We will bus back to Vancouver late Friday afternoon and stay near the airport for a morning flight out.
